NHCSC works with the Chicago Public Schools to recruit individuals from local neighborhoods and employ them as "Community Watchers". Their job is to ensure the safety of our school age children through the  Safe Passage Program. Our commitment to this program helps children get safely to and from school. In addition the programs reduces the chances of students becoming involved in violent incidents, becoming victims of violence, which creates a safe, secure, and supportive school environment that increases student attendance and improves academic performance.

Something to Think About . . .

New Hope Community Service Center

For over two decades we have serviced various communities on the South Side of Chicago, We have evolved from just a substance abuse treatment center to a community based outreach center, helping the communities adults, children, and families to improve their life styles by interrupting negative patterns that cause family and community deterioration. These negative patterns include domestic violence, gang violence, sexual exploitation, and drug sales to name a few.
Our  services include individuals, family, substance abuse and domestic violence counseling. We also provides services for individuals on probation or parole, court mandated individuals, and DCFS cases. These services included assessments, individual and group education, case coordination, and appropriate referrals.
New Hope Community Service Center   (NHCSC) was incorporated as an Illinois non-for-profit agency on April 9, 1992. To achieve our goals we have diverse partnerships that began with substance abuse treatment and counseling licensed by the Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse within the Illinois Department of Human Services.
